The Hope Girls

Portia was spotted in an outreach class in Plasticview township at age seven. Today, she is a dance major graduate from Pro Arte, a former soloist with the Youth Dance Company of Tshwane, and is qualifying as a DASA Ballet Coach. She now teaches the next generation at ROHD.

Ayanda started her journey at Pure Hope Primary School. Through the bursary programme, she accessed qualified training that would have otherwise been impossible. She has since trained with YDCT and completed multiple international exams, proving that talent only needs opportunity.

Elsie has been with Rhythm of Hope for several years, demonstrating incredible growth in both technique and character. As a senior student, she now serves as a role model for the younger dancers in the outreach programme, proving that dedication and hope can pave the way for a bright future.

Mihle represents the heart of our Hope Girls programme. Her dedication to both her schoolwork and her dance training has seen her blossom into a confident young leader within her community.

Evelyn's journey is one of resilience. The bursary programme provides more than just dance classes; it provides a safe space for her to discover her worth and build a future rooted in hope.

Kananelo's journey with Rhythm of Hope began in our outreach classes. Her passion for dance is matched only by her commitment to her studies. She represents the potential that lies within every child when given the right environment and the truth of who they are.
